تأثیر مصرف اسانس نعناع در دوره بازیافت متعاقب فعالیت بدنی درمانده ساز بر شاخص‌های جسمانی و عملکردی نظامیان

هدف: در سال­های اخیر استفاده از داروهای گیاهی به منظور افزایش سطح سلامت و بهبود توانایی­های جسمانی مورد توجه محققان قرار گرفته است. از این رو، هدف از مطالعه حاضر بررسی تأثیر مصرف اسانس نعناع در دوره بازیافت متعاقب فعالیت بدنی درمانده­ساز بر شاخص‌های جسمانی و عملکردی نظامیان بود. روش شناسی:  30 نفر از دانشجویان دانشگاه افسری (سن: 20 تا 25 سال) بدون سابقه تمرینی منظم به عنوان آزمودنی در مطالعه حاضر شرکت کردند و به طور تصادفی به دو گروه دارو و دارونما تقسیم شدند. ابتدا شاخص­های جسمانی و عملکردی آزمودنی­ها ارزیابی شد و سپس، پروتکل خستگی را انجام دادند. سپس، آزمودنی­ها دارو و دارونما را مصرف کردند و همه آزمون­ها مجدداً تکرار شد. یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد قدرت عضلانی، سرعت، چابکی و عملکرد تیراندازی آزمودنی­های دو گروه دارو و دارونما پس از فعالیت وامانده ساز تغییر معنی­داری نداشت (05/0P≥). همچنین، اختلاف معنی­داری بین تغییرات دو گروه مشاهده نشد. علاوه بر این، نتایج نشان داد بین استقامت عضلانی و زمان واماندگی آزمودنی­های گروه آزمون و کنترل پس از فعالیت وامانده­ساز اختلاف معناداری وجود دارد (05/0p <). نتیجه‌گیری: بر اساس نتایج مطالعه حاضر مصرف اسانس نعناع در دوره بازیافت متعاقب یک فعالیت درمانده­ساز می­تواند سبب بهبود استقامت و کاهش میزان افت سایر عوامل آمادگی جسمانی شود.

Aim: In recent years, the use of herbal medicines to improve health and physical ability has been the focus of researchers. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of peppermint essential oil consumption during recovery after exhaustive physical activity on physical and functional indices of the military. Methods: Thirty students (age: 20 to 25 year) of officer university with no regular training participated as subject in this study and were randomly divided into drug or placebo groups. At first the subjects' physical and functional indices were evaluated and then they performed the exhaustion protocol. Then, subjects consume the drug and placebo and all tests were repeated.  Results:The results showed that the strength, speed, agility and shooting performance of the two groups did not change significantly after the exhaustion exercise and there was no significant difference between the two groups. Also, the results showed that there was a significant difference between endurance and time of exhaustion between groups after exhaustion exercise (p < 0.05). Conclusions: According to the results of this study, consumption of peppermint essential oil in recovery period after an exhaustive exercise can improve endurance and reduce the decline in other fitness factors.
