The research method was descriptive- correlational. The statistical population included the handball players from the Kermanshah clubs in 1393_Y, which had spent at least the past two years of their training with their current coachs. The research samples included 260 participants who were selected randomly. The personal traits questionnaire, the leadership style in sport questionnaire, the mental fitness of athletes questionnaire and the STAI trait and state anxiety questionnaire were used to collect the data.
